Oct. 12 | Moments of Brilliance: 5 Techniques for Creating a Sticky Story with Rebecca Hunter

This craft workshop will focus on five techniques to level up your story during the editing phase of the writing process. These techniques focus on small, manageable chunks of a text, building them to lift a reader’s larger experience of your book. You’ll learn to create “moments of brilliance” that last with readers, even after they close the book, making your story stand out in a crowded market.

Rebecca will define each technique, explain how to use it, and look at specific examples of each technique in action. She will also talk about where in your manuscript the five techniques work particularly well.

About Rebecca

Rebecca Hunter is the award-winning author of sensual, emotional adventures of the heart. She is a reader, traveler, former English teacher, chocolate lover, and keeper of a very messy desk.

Over the years, Rebecca has called many places home, including Michigan, where she grew up, New York City, San Francisco, and Stockholm. After their most recent move from Sweden back to the San Francisco Bay Area, she and her husband assured each other they'll never move again. Well, probably not.

Rebecca's debut book, Stockholm Diaries, Caroline, won the 2016 NERFA, and the first book in her Blackmore Inc. series won the 2019 NERFA and the 2019 HOLT Medallion contest and earned a starred review from Library Journal. She's currently writing more super-sexy books for the Harlequin Dare line.
