SFARW is a non-profit, voluntary association of writers dedicated to raising and maintaining quality in the romance genre and its sub genres. SFARW works to accomplish this through advocating high professional standards and through the dissemination of information on writing and the publishing industry. Our chapter includes both published and unpublished romance authors.
Promoting Excellence in Romance Fiction
A focus on career and craft
We retain members of all levels experience by scheduling diverse programs; highlighting RWA resources including free/low cost online courses, mentoring programs, PRO and PAN groups, contests, and the annual National Conference; and inviting members to share their expertise.
We will build community through member participation at our monthly meetings; communication with members through email, Facebook, Twitter, and other platforms; and additional special opportunities to gather and learn.
Providing a safe, inclusive space for all writers and romance genres
We will promote inclusivity in all of our communications, contests, and meetings. We will strive to use inclusive language and to promote the voices of all writers.
